Client: Support Act

Problem: Support Act is Australia’s only music industry charity that delivers crisis relief services to artists,
crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that
impacts on their ability to work in music. Especially after the pandemic, much more awareness is needed for
those needing help to pick up the phone and call the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline.

Insight: People love sharing what they’re listening to online, including song lyrics that bear personal meaning to them.

Idea: Using Apple Music’s Karaoke function, users are able to sing along to their favourite Australian music artists,
but are confronted with a different message when the lyrics change to statistics about mental health in the music industry.
The music pauses automatically when the fact finishes, forcing the user to interact to continue their karaoke session,
share the music fact, or learn more about Support Act.
